Our Love Story
Our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. Wildfire smoke had clouded the air the day before, but cleared out on our special day. While our surroundings, wedding garb and decor were beyond gorgeous, the highlight of our day was the friends and family that joined us from 16 states. We loved watching our guests play yard games, eat Wall Drug donuts, pray over us and laugh along at the stories our M.C. shared of our lives and relationship. We’ve never felt so loved and celebrated. It’s an amazing thing to start a marriage with so much love and support.

How We Met
Zach and I met in high school at a camp in Colorado when we were 16-years-old. I’m from South Dakota, and he’s from Idaho. We didn’t keep in touch for the next six years. Then in 2016, Zach snap chatted me while I was studying in Washington, D.C. I instantly fell for his black curly hair, white smile and goofy personality. He came and visited me in Washington, D.C. and the rest is history.
Planning Our Day
Zach and I wanted a short engagement, so we planned our wedding in five months. My mom and I hired Simply Divine of Huron to help with the wedding planning process. We chose the Black Hills because me and my husband wanted a wedding in my home state, but we love the mountains and wanted to celebrate in our favorite sanctuary - the Great Outdoors. The Black Hills was the perfect option. I live in Salt Lake City and my mom lives in Huron, SD, so planning a wedding in the Black Hills from a long distance would have been difficult without the help of Simply Divine. I wanted a romantic wedding with vintage touches. I chose soft neutrals and rose gold accents to accomplish this look.
