Our Love Story

We were both raised in the Black Hills and currently live here so we thought home was the best place to be.

How We Met

We met in high school and became best friends! After a while all of our friends pretty much just asked why we weren't dating each other. So, we gave it a shot! That was in 2011!

Planning Our Day

Both of our families were involved in the planning and day-of. My mother-in-law and father-in-law were incredibly helpful with finding food and drink and coming along to our meetings with our vendors. My grandma and his grandmas were helpful in thrifting a lot of our decorations. My mother-in-law and I and all of my bridesmaids did all the bouquets and florals for decoration. A good family friend decorated the day-of and made our wedding cake. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law made the cookies. We had so much help, and we couldn't have done it without our families and friends. Everyone was so generous and hands-on; it was incredible! I think it is a lucky experience that I had by having so many family members and friends to help. I hear stories of peoples’ opinions hindering their day or forcing things and ideas on them, but it was the complete opposite for us. Our family and friends added so many special touches to our day.

One of our favorite details about our wedding is that we got married on our 11 year anniversary!
