Our Love Story
My favorite part of the day was the ceremony. The wind died down as I walked down the aisle and I got to say I do to the man of my dreams at the end of it.

How We Met
On our second date we hiked Harney Peak and spent the day exploring the Black Hills. When we were walking around Sylvan Lake after our hike, we watched a wedding taking place on the Lakeside Lawn. We both mentioned how cool it would be to get married in such a beautiful place. When we got engaged, it took only seconds to decide on a venue: Sylvan Lake.
Planning Our Day
The theme was rustic/vintage. We LOVE the Black Hills so we tried to incorporate some things that our out of town guests would remember about our day besides the location. Our favors were buffalo-shaped sugar cookies and they were a hit! Music is also important to us so we incorporated our favorite songs throughout both the ceremony and reception. We had our graphic designer use the same theme on all of our paper items; some of our guests commented on how cool it was we had our own “brand.”
Wedding Hint
Don't sweat the small stuff. The day will happen whether the food is cold or it isn't. Try to enjoy as much of the day as you can; it will go by so fast!
