Our Love Story

My husband and I live in Colorado; I’m from ND, and he’s originally from Minnesota, so he has family there and in Colorado. We both have connections to the Black Hills, as he went to school at Black Hills State for a football scholarship, and I finished my preceptorship working with the chiropractic department at the Veterans Hospital in Sturgis, SD. The Black Hills have a special place in our hearts as well as being 5 hours away from both of our families.

Planning Our Day

We wanted our guests to have a great time at our wedding! To make it more exciting we did a raffle ticket drawing for 12 light-up cowboy hats that were drawn during an auction after dinner. They seemed to be a huge hit on our dance floor.  

We also wanted to do something fun for our bridal party entrance, so we wrote small phrases for each person in the bridal party, similar to a basketball intro that led to a game of tippy cups. 

Wedding Hint

Take all the help you can get over your wedding day/weekend. I had two personal attendants who helped with so much on my big day. Also having a coordinator, whether hired or family/friends, helps so you don’t have to worry about a thing. I also highly recommend getting a videographer and a great photographer. They were a dream to work with and gave us so much content to relive our day.
