Taylor Rohrbach, daughter of Linda & Kevin Rohrbach of Rapid City, SD , has become engaged to Samuel Jensen , son of Julie Schmitz & Gary Jensen of Rapid City, SD .

Proposal

On Christmas eve, in front of Taylor’s family , Sam asked Taylor to marry him. He waited until all the gifts were opened and began his plan. Only Taylor’s dad and brother knew of the plan. Taylor’s dad said that there was one more gift left, well he tried to sneak him video taping also. Sam started talking to the family about how much he loved them, and their daughter. How they have started to build a wonderful life together, and he wants it to continue forever. He got down on one knee with tears in his eyes and asked her to marry him. Taylor instantly jumped in his arms, and started crying.  Being that you are currently reading this story, I will assume you know what her answer was! We would like to thank God for aligning the stars and helping us find one another.

How They Met

Taylor and Sam were first introduced in Fall 2014 by a stunning red bearded man named Zach Gibson. Zach was randomly texting Sam one fine afternoon and claimed that he had a “special gal” he thought Sam should become acquainted with. Taylor and Sam began communicating via the Facebook and set up a casual meeting. Taylor came over to Sam’s house one night with Jenna Mae Kessler and instantly, with her exuberant charm and happy-go-lucky spirit (she may have twirled around in circles in Sam’s walk-in closet.. yea that happened), she immediately caught his interest. After she left, Taylor left Zach a voicemail saying she was going to marry this guy one day (hmmm.. I think I know where this is going). Taylor and Sam continued to communicate and set a first official date the night before Thanksgiving. After a long dinner and conversing until midnight just learning about one another, a unique bond was formed. Taylor and Sam saw each other almost every day moving forward and began “officially” dating in December 2014. Since then, a variety of amazing experiences and relationship testing trials (though perfect in their own way) created a love they thought would never be matched. This was until they discovered in August 2015 that they would be bringing a miniature version of themselves into this world. As the pregnancy progressed, their love for one another amplified while they anxiously awaited the arrival of their little one. In November, Taylor and Sam found out they would be welcoming a beautiful baby girl! With an opportunity to move for work and an amazing life working itself into place, Sam knew there was only one thing left to do….
