Sara and Andrew Rossow Engagement Announcement

Sara Henrickson, daughter of Verne and Ruth of Rapid City, has become engaged to Andrew Rossow, son of Iven and Jolene of Lakefield, MN.

Proposal

On August 15, 2015, Andrew FINALLY asked Sara to marry him at a Twins game in Minneapolis, MN. He got down on one knee in front of a crowd of people waiting to get their picture taken in front of a giant bronze baseball glove. The crowd clapped and cheered as Sara wiped away her tears of joy.

The couple is hoping to have a fall wedding in 2016 as soon as they find a venue.

How They Met

Andrew and Sara met in the fall of 2009. They were both Freshman at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City,SD where Andrew was going for Computer Engineering and Sara was taking prerequisite courses for nursing. They shared a few classes in common but had not spoken much until they were paired as project partners in Mrs. Palmers English class. They continued to talk to and flirt with each other after the project was completed.

In October 2009, Andrew had asked Sara to watch a meteor shower with him to which she declined (and later regretted) due to already having plans. In December, the couple had their first date at Storybook Island while looking at the Christmas lights and decorations. They began officially dating on February 3, 2010 and have been together ever since.
