Rachel and Peter Williams Engagement Announcement

Rachel Tyo, daughter of Mark Tyo and Kim Sears of Newport News, VA and Rapid City, SD, has become engaged to Peter Williams, son of Dr. Greg and Lynne Williams of Rapid City, SD.

Proposal

Peter proposed to me in the backyard of my mothers boyfriends home on July 5th.  It was around 10pm and we had just finished a wonderful dinner and dessert. We then proceeded outside to the backyard which was lit up with LED lights around the trees and garden, as well as tiki torches.  We were lighting fireworks off since it was the day after the 4th of July and we all know that fireworks are on sale that day! My mother asked me to come and help her light this one last tiki torch in the corner of the yard by the garden and when I turned around after finishing lighting the last torch, Peter was on his knee with the ring in hand and proposed. 😊

How They Met

Peter and I met while attending college at School of Mines in 2007. We attended the same nutrition class and sat next to each other. We started dating in February 2008 and again in June 2011 and the last time in February 2014.
