Kristin and Chase Burke Engagement Announcement

Kristin Schmeltzer, daughter of John & Ann Schmeltzer of Whitewood, has become engaged to Chase Burke, son of Pat & Ronna Burke of Newell.

Proposal

On Christmas eve of 2015 we had gone to my aunts house. Every year we do a secret Santa exchange. My uncle was the one who did it this year so Chase immediately went and saw him before we opened presents and told him my surprise. He put the ring and box at the bottom of my gift and my uncle made sure the girls opened last. I was so surprised when I saw the box and instantly started crying. I look to my left and Chase was on his knee asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. I of course said yes!!!!

How They Met

We met each other about 2 yrs ago when Chase ran his motorcycle in to the back of my car. I actually called my best friend and MOH right after it and told her I had just met my future husband.
