Kaitlyn and Cody Oster Engagement Announcement

Kaitlyn Schumacher, daughter of John and Mary Schumacher of Hermosa, SD, has become engaged to Cody Oster, son of Christie and Doug Oster of Union Center and Mitchell, SD.

Proposal

The proposal was a truly one of a kind proposal. Old fashioned at its finest as Cody first asked for the parents of Kaitlyn for the blessing to ask for their daughters hand in marriage. The couple set of on a hiking excursion in Custer State Park up into the hills to Poet’s Table. The hike was full of adventure, laughter, and scenery as the couple shared a beautiful day in the hills with Kaitlyn’s parents along for the big moment. Little did Kaitlyn know that at the top of the hike, her day was going to get even brighter! As the couple and the bride-to be’s parents got to the top of the hike they overlooked some of the Black Hills best scenery, Cody walked Kaitlyn over on a big rock with a picturesque background, got down on one knee behind her, asked her to turn around, and with a huge smile on his face popped the question to Kaitlyn. As tears of joy and excitement began for Kaitlyn, she said YES! A wedding date for Summer 2017 is being planned for this newly engaged and happy couple!
