Emily and Jared Batman Engagement Announcement

Emily Hohn, daughter of Darrell and LeAnne of Darrell and LeAnne, has become engaged to Jared Batman, son of Bill and Linda of Rapid City.

Proposal

Jared graduated from Dakota Wesleyan on May 4, 2013. After the ceremony had ended the family and friends gathered to take pictures. Before he and Emily took their first picture together he pulled out a red box and got down on one knee. He said “The first thing I want to do as a graduate is ask you to marry me. You are my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Emily said yes! Not only were friends and family there to celebrate graduation but also an engagement! The ring he gave her was her mothers godmothers ring with a few updated modifications! There wedding with me at the Hohn Ranch near Deadwood with reception to follow in Deadwood.

How They Met

Jared and Emily met while in daycare at YFS when they were kids but didn’t know each other well. Then in 2008 while Jared was a senior and Emily was a junior they met again and connected. After knowing each other a couple short weeks they began dating. They moved to Sioux Falls, then to Mitchell where Jared Graduated from Dakota Wesleyan. Jared always said that he and Emily would get engaged but it wouldn’t be until after graduation.
