Courtney and Ronnie Pitsor Engagement Announcement

Courtney Murray, daughter of Greg and Tammy Murray of Rapid City, SD, has become engaged to Ronnie Pitsor, son of Kevin and Brenda Pitsor of Black Hawk, SD.

Proposal

It was late August and we both were looking for something fun to do before the school year was to begin and the craziness of kids, school and work took over. Ronnie decided to rent a side-by-side for just the two of us to get away into the hills for a day. We both love being in the hills and so this seemed absolutely perfect! We has just started the day, about 1/4 mile or so up the Piedmont Fire Trails and we had stopped to just take in the view overlooking the foothills. It was simply beautiful. Although, Ronnie was secretly a little bummed about the haziness that all the fires had caused during that time, he had decided that this was going to be the spot. I was turned around snapping photos as I typically do, but once I had turned around,  there he was down on one knee! I was completely surprised! Of course, I said yes. We spent the rest of the day on cloud nine enjoying each other and the Black Hills; we even enjoyed a sugar burger at one of our favorite burger shacks, The Sugar Shack.

How They Met

My sister first introduced us. I had just moved back home from spending eight years active duty in the US Navy and she thought that Ronnie would be a good person for me to become friends with. She had invited Ronnie out for my birthday dinner and we immediately hit it off! He was fun and charming; which was something that I wasn’t necessarily used to. We dated off and on throughout the summer, until we both finally realized that maybe there was something more. We’ve been together ever since!
