Proposal

Rock Climbing! Nick had planned on rock climbing on a Saturday and invited his sister, my brother, and a friend that took photos. I was excited because there would actually be photos of me climbing now since I was usually the one taking them! We went to my parents house to get my brother to come but he and my dad were working on something up the road. I was anxious to get going so keep hounding him hurry up lets go. (Little did I know he was waiting to ask permission from my Mom and Dad) Well we ended up heading into town and meeting at our climbing spot. He decided he wanted to climb first. And was taking forever. This is a spot you can climb up the back and throw the rope over so its much quicker. I was totally annoyed by this time because I wanted to climb, he kept telling me not to drop him because I was getting bored and impatient. Well he finally made it to the top and Mike our photographer friend was up there hanging out with him. Next it was my turn, his sister was belaying me from the bottom, I got about half way up and decided it was really hard and I was going to be done. She wouldn’t let me down and told me I better keep going. I was swearing and just over it, at the top Mike asked Nick if was really mad and Nick told him yes with a giggle. I took a break, got my frustration out climbing and then finished! As I made it to the top and still could barley breath Nick was down on one knee with the ring and had side walked chalked in the rock Will You Marry Me?! I had no idea and of course said YES. He had planned all of it without me knowing. Afterwards Nick asked me if he even said Will you marry me? He was so nervous he couldn’t remember !
We ended our night with a nice dinner at the Alpine Inn.

How They Met

Two different sets of friends decided we needed to meet because he coached wrestling and my brothers wrestled. At that point I wasn’t really interested in meeting anyone. Well after multiple conversations and suggestions from these sets of friends, I decided I should see what the big deal was and contacted him. We finally ended up talking on the phone all night on a Thursday. He asked me to go to dinner the next evening on a Friday, and a golf tournament on Saturday. Spent the weekend with him and found out the big deal!
