Betsy and Ryan Akers Engagement Announcement

Betsy Moler, daughter of Keith & Brenda Moler of Rapid City, has become engaged to Ryan Akers, son of Rob & Joanna Akers of Newcastle, WY.

Proposal

The day after Betsy’s 23rd birthday, the couple decided to go hiking for something fun to do. Betsy thought this hike was for her birthday, but little did she know Ryan had more in store for her. They drove to Spearfish Canyon, and due to recent weather the trails were still filled with mud and snow. It was then decided they would go back to a trail they had saw on the drive up to see if that wouldn’t be filled with snow and mud. After hiking along for awhile, Betsy and Ryan came to a really pretty spot on the trail. Betsy decided she wanted to take a picture, and turned around to grab her camera out of her bag. By the time she turned around, Ryan was down on one knee holding out a beautiful ring and asking, “Betsy, will you marry me?”. After the initial shock wore off, Betsy of course answered with a YES!!
