Our Love Story

We started off by all of the girls (Bride, bridesmaids, flower girls, and mother of the bride) going to AJ wicked salon to get our hair done. The bride and the mother of the bride also got their make up done. Then we went out to BHRR to finish getting ready in the Cinderella gazebo. It had been sprinkling all morning on and off. When it was time to do our first looks it stated raining again, we delayed first looks a little bit, and did them once the rain stopped. We were able to get all of our pictures done without rain and before our guests arrived for our ceremony. With guest seated and about 15 minutes before our ceremony, it started sparkling again. By then it was too late to move our ceremony to under the Grand Gazebo as it was already set up for our cocktail and hors d'oeuvres hour. During our ceremony it started to downpour, and Black hills receptions and rentals started handing out umbrellas to our guests in the audience. Our officiant started to shorten our ceremony to hurry things along a little bit, we ended up cutting about 10 minutes off of our planned time. In the end we all got drenched! Once everyone was ushered out of the Swan Point location and under the Grand Gazebo the rain stopped and was done for the day (of course)! We had an hour for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and lawn games. Then we had everyone move into the reception tent. Kaden and I did our first dance right when we were announced as a married couple. Followed by dinner, cake, and the remaining dance. Despite the rain it was still the best day of our lives! And a day we (and our guest) will never forget it!
